Jason D. Alexander, M.A.

Jason D. Alexander, M.A. is a Principal and Co-Founder of Capacity for Change, LLC, a consulting firm that provides management, strategy and business planning services for nonprofits, foundations and companies that serve the public interest.  As both a consultant and instructor, Mr. Alexander emphasizes strategies and ideas that improve performance, strengthen decision-making, foster collaboration, and promote accountability.  Mr. Alexander has served as a management, planning and organizational development consultant for nonprofits, corporations, philanthropic institutions, universities and government agencies throughout the United States.  Mr. Alexander earned his Master of Arts degree in Public Policy and Urban Affairs from the University of Delaware in 1996 with a specialization in nonprofit management and community development.  Mr. Alexander is currently an instructor for The Nonprofit Center at LaSalle University and for the University of Delaware’s Nonprofit Management Certificate Course.  He has also been a guest speaker for Leadership Philadelphia and the Marguerite Casey Foundation.  Mr. Alexander currently serves on the Pennsylvania Association for Nonprofit Organizations’ Standards for Excellence Committee.  His publications have appeared in the Journal of Public Administration and Management and the book Community Politics and Policy by JAI Press.

Meghan A. McVety, M.P.A. 

Meghan A. McVety, M.P.A. is a Principal and Co-Founder of Capacity for Change, LLC, a consulting firm that provides management, strategy and business planning services for nonprofits, foundations and companies that serve the public interest. Her work is infused with the belief that cultivating strong leadership in organizations and communities will best achieve positive change.  As a consultant and trainer, Ms. McVety serves nonprofit organizations and the philanthropic institutions that support them through management consulting, planning, and training services.  Ms. McVety has demonstrated expertise in several areas of organizational development, including needs assessment, strategic and program planning, executive coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, and funds development.  From 1998 to 2007, she served as a lead consultant for Salgado & Associates, working with foundations and nonprofit organizations in the areas of health, advocacy, anti-violence efforts, and civil rights.  Ms. McVety previously served as the development director for both the San Francisco Women’s Center and La Raza Centro Legal of San Francisco.  She earned her Master of Public Administration degree from the University of San Francisco in 1999.  Through Salgado & Associates, she has provided consulting services to Marguerite Casey Foundation, The California Wellness Foundation, and The California Endowment, among others. In 2006, Ms. McVety joined the Marketing/Development Committee of the Chester County Community Foundation.
